RAMS Origin

A seed of an idea that germinated in the mind of a young enterprising lawyer Mr. K. V. Ram, who clairvoyantly foresaw the transformation of Madras to a megapolis, turned his vision into a momentous life changing journey of epic proportions.

A connoisseur of fine living, he embarked upon creating dwellings for the discerning elite of Madras since 1956. Over a decade he became a name to reckon with for reliability and commitment, leading to founding of the brand “RAMS” in 1969. Ably supported by his life partner Smt. Saraswathi, RAMS as a brand came with a unique quality in an otherwise cold and calculative business – empathy and personal touch. A true family enterprise, Mr. Ram’s son Mr. Ravikrishnan and his wife Mrs. Rajalakshmi, inherited the acumen and joined hands with him to build a formidable portfolio of properties from the 1970s and well into the 2010s.
